Sec 20-706. Filing and publication of articles; appointment of agent to receive process; issuance of certificate

A. The articles of incorporation shall be filed in the office of the corporation commission, and certified copies thereof shall be filed with the director of insurance.
B. The articles of incorporation shall be published as required by title 10.
C. The corporation shall appoint a statutory agent located in this state on whom all process in any action or proceeding may be served and shall file originals of such appointment in the director's office and in the corporation commission's office. Any termination of such statutory agent shall not take effect until the corporation has appointed a new, valid statutory agent.
D. The corporation shall not transact business as an insurer until it has applied for and received from the director a certificate of authority as provided by this title.
